Scottish Youth Theatre is inviting expressions of interest to join our Board as we approach the significant milestone of the company’s 50th anniversary. Be part of shaping the creative landscape for Scotland’s young theatre-makers.
During an exciting time of evolution of the organisation, as we prepare for our 50th anniversary in 2027, we are reflecting on our impact past, present and future, and working towards a more comprehensive creative offer for young theatre-makers across Scotland. We are seeking up to four new Board members who will join a committed Board and small, industrious staff team with big ambitions.
- We are specifically looking for new Board members who meet the following requirements:
Sound knowledge and experience in one of the identified priority areas – Finance, HR, Legal, Marketing and/or PR - An enthusiasm for theatre and supporting young people in the arts
- A collaborative approach
- Alignment with the values of the company
- A commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
We are not currently recruiting for people with skills and knowledge in other areas.
This is an unpaid role with reasonable expenses reimbursed. Board members are required to attend four meetings per year plus the AGM, which are usually held online via Zoom.
