Section 11 – Circular economy planning
At the end of 2024, the Scottish Government outlined its 2030 route map towards a circular economy. All organisations have a part to play to reduce waste and shift to building practice around the 5 Rs: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle. A circular approach to practice is resource efficient, lower emitting and protects biodiversity and nature.
Use this section to report your actions and plans towards the circular economy.
11.1. Do you have a plan or actions in place working towards the circular economy?
This does not have to be a stand alone plan; it can be part of a wider environmental action plan or procurement approach.
Answer ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ as appropriate.
This is a mandatory question for all organisations that it is shown to.
If you select ‘Yes’ in this question, you will be shown 11.1a.
Reason for question
The move to a circular economy is one of the best things an organisation can do to reduce their impact on the climate and the natural environment. Setting a plan of actions for this shift can focus an organisation’s behaviour in a clear and accountable way.
We are interested to know whether organisations have started working in a circular way or started planning how they will shift their operations to be more circular. This will allow us to provide support for organisations and share best practice examples.
