Environmental policies provide a framework to deliver your event in an environmentally sustainable way. They can be used to hold your organisation, suppliers and collaborators to account. We are asking this to understand the structures in place to deliver your event sustainably.

Please outline the key details of your environmental policy that are relevant to the planning and delivery of your event. This might include how you consider environmental sustainability when making decisions about travel, waste, location, sponsorship and partnerships.

Having someone named as responsible for sustainability of an event ensures there is someone ensuring your policies (if in place) are implemented and that staff and collaborators are acting responsibly. We are asking this to understand if your event has this in place.

2.3. How does your organisation plan to improve the sustainability governance of this event throughout its multi-year funding period?

Please outline the actions that your organisation will take each year for which your event is funded to improve sustainability governance. This might be regular actions each year or a development project over multiple years. For example, if you do not currently have an environmental policy, you may aim to write a policy in the first year and try it out and adjust it in the second year.

You will see this question if you answer any of ‘2027/28’, ‘2028/29’ or ‘2029/30’ in 1.4.
