This monthly online workshop introduces artists and cultural organisations to environmental action and climate justice, and the many ways you can approach it including mitigation, adaptation and using your influence.

We give you a background to Culture for Climate Scotland and show you how to take your first steps to tackle your carbon emissions, adapt to the impacts of climate change, and use your influence towards audiences and communities.

We demonstrate some examples of creative climate action through our case studies, and there is also an opportunity to ask us any questions you may have about starting your sustainability journey.

This session is helpful to those new to culture and climate action, and for those wanting to apply for funding that requires applicants to demonstrate their environmental commitments.

This workshop will take place on Zoom on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 29 July, 10am-11am
  • Thursday 27 August, 2pm-3pm
  • Tuesday 29 September, 12pm-1pm

Use the button on the left to book for your preferred date.

Visit our Starting Point page for more information on how to begin your journey into creative climate action.

Do you need support to attend?

Culture for Climate Scotland is committed to ensuring that our events are accessible for everyone, regardless of their disability, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, economic status or caring responsibility.

We will make any necessary adjustments to our events so that no one is excluded. These adjustments will, most likely, differ from event-to-event and person-to-person, so we need your help to get it right. In the past, we have provided quiet spaces, British Sign Language interpreters and internet dongles for portable internet access.

Some adjustments may take more time to arrange than others, so we appreciate you giving us as much notice as possible about what you need so that we can support you to get the most out of this event.

Please inform us of your accessibility requirements for this event during the registration process. If you have any questions or concerns, please send an email to [email protected] or telephone +44 (0)131 243 2760 and speak to a member of Culture for Climate Scotland staff.

Please see our safe working statement for more information.
