Green Arts Initiative steering group

The steering group helps to guide the strategic development of the Green Arts Initiative (GAI). It is a vital advisory board supporting our Green Arts officers in setting the GAI’s direction and providing valuable feedback to Culture for Climate Scotland as we seek to provide effective support to match the climate ambitions of the Scottish arts community.

The steering group members are an important source of knowledge, skills and experiences for shaping and supporting the GAI events and workshops we run throughout the year.

The group meets roughly quarterly with the Green Arts officers to help with decision making and is occasionally asked for comments or suggestions between meetings.

GAI steering group members dedicate less than 10 hours of their time in the year. This includes quarterly one-hour meetings on weekdays during working hours.

Current steering group members

The steering group gains its strength from having proactive people working for a Scottish cultural organisation or freelancers working across cultural organisations in Scotland.

To ensure the steering group represents a diverse range of members, we consider their areas of expertise and their role within their organisations, as well as their organisations’ art forms, function and geographical location.
